Hobbies & Interests:
Hi, My name is rob carpenter. I am a level 3 cert.ski instructor and a level 2 cert. snowboard instructor. I've been living the mountain lifestyle and teaching for 25 years. I enjoy teaching beginners to experts in all snow conditions, especially the terrian parks for the kids looking for excitement. Older skiers will benefit from my ability to teach the comfortable and safe use of modern equipment and the easy transition to modern ski technique. Snowboarders will enjoy my hands on approach to lessen the number of falls. Notice I said lessen, can't stop them all. All clients will enjoy tips to make the mountain experience as comfortable and productive as possible. I can also provide you with a beautiful mountain home. I am a general contractor in the big bear valley. If the snow hasn't been made yet or the afternoon calls for a mountain bike ride, no problem! I'll guide you or your group on a MTB ride to match any ability.

Additional Info/Notes:
ALWAYS bring chains for your car and leave early in the morning to beat the traffic. If your staying for the weekend, try to stay sunday night or leave the valley as late as possible. Roads out of town can be crowded sat. and sunday afternoons. HWY 38 is best for going home. Remember !!!! 4WD helps you GO but it won't help you STOP on snowy or icy roads. Leave lots of room between cars, don't cross the center line( chp watches) and use turnouts if cars are behind you. Your speed on the mountain roads will be too fast or too slow for every other driver out there. Be Patient and courteous, the drive time difference will be slight.
